Colavolpe Named Albertus Head Men’s Soccer Coach

New Haven, Conn. – Director of Athletics Jim Abromaitis has announced the hiring of Brett Colavolpe as the new head coach of the Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team.

"We are excited to have Brett get started," said Abromaitis. "As a former player at Albertus Magnus and a longtime assistant to Coach Bernardo, he knows the school, the student-athletes, the league as well as the expectations. Brett's enthusiasm will be on display every time he steps on the sidelines."

For the last 10 years, Colavolpe served as an assistant coach for the men's soccer program since graduating from Albertus Magnus in 2007 with a degree in Mathematics.

Colavolpe was a four-year starter for the Falcons from 2003-06. He was named to the GNAC All-Conference Second Team as a senior in 2006 and earned a spot on the GNAC All-Tournament Team in 2005. Colavolpe also served as a team captain for the Falcons as both a junior and a senior.

Colavolpe is in his 11th year of teaching Mathematics and is teaching at Troup School in New Haven.
