NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Following the successful talk with Ivy Watts earlier in the year, Albertus Magnus College athletics is excited to announce a keynote workshop with former Yale football player turned mental performance and leadership coach Sebastian Little. The workshop, titled Unlocking Resilience: Playing Your Best While Embracing the Mess, is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, Nov. 17, beginning at 7 p.m.
A 2016 graduate of Yale, Little has spent the past four years speaking at schools and mentoring individuals to help build leadership competencies, high-performance practices, and improve team culture. Some of the topics covered in his talks include leadership, empowerment, mental performance & how to 'win the moment,' SEL systems & behaviors, teamwork & team building, and maximizing human motivation.
The focus of Tuesday's workshop will be to teach some resiliency techniques to help deal with the unprecedented events of the past year. This workshop will draw on Little's research on peak performance, resilience, and positive psychology to give participants applicable tools and insights to deal with the stressors and pressures present in each of our lives.
All student-athletes and coaches are encouraged to attend the workshop. A link for the event will be provided closer to its date.
