  • Men's Basketball Eliminates Suffolk to Advance to GNAC Semifinals

    New Haven, Conn. –The Albertus Magnus College men’s basketball team enjoyed the sweet taste of revenge on Tuesday night, eliminating the seventh-seeded Rams of Suffolk University from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men’s Basketball Tournament in a nail-biting 82-79 home victory at “The Nest”. With the win, the Falcons avenge the 81-68 loss they suffered to the Rams earlier this season and extend their current winning streak to seven games.

    New Haven, Conn. – Seniors Shyla Osmond (New Haven, Conn.) and Rah-Rah Thompson (Bridgeport, Conn.) shined in their collegiate finales Tuesday night in Albertus Magnus College women's basketball's 103-95 double-overtime setback to Suffolk University in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament Quarterfinals. Osmond posted her second 40-point game in a week with 43 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, while Thompson posted her 20th double-double of the year with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

The Falcons' quest for an eighth league championship begins on Tuesday, Feb. 25, with a 7 p.m. quarterfinal matchup against the No. 7 seed Suffolk University at the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center.

    PAXTON, Mass. – The Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team brought an end to the 2019-20 regular season by topping Anna Maria College, 69-50, in road Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Saturday. The Falcons head into the GNAC Tournament with an 18-7 overall record and an 8-3 mark in conference.
