Mike Barillaro (Meriden, Conn.) and Nick Sedia (Bronx, N.Y.) have been recognized by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) as they have been tagged as the league's Pitcher and Player of the Week as announced on Monday.
In a 2-2 week for the Falcons, Sedia recorded nine RBI and went 8-for-14 for a .571 batting average. He walked twice as well for a .625 on-base percentage. His best outing on the week was when he went 3-for-4 with two doubles in a 3-2 win over Anna Maria.
Sedia also recorded three RBI in two games, against Coast Guard and then versus Norwich. The senior also posted a .714 slugging percentage.
Barillaro went 2-0 on the mound for the Falcons as he threw two complete games with a 0.64 ERA. He allowed just one earned run on seven hits and struck out eight in a 3-2 win over Anna Maria and then allowed just one unearned run on six hits with six strikeouts in a 12-1 win over Norwich.
