New Haven, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College field hockey team fell to Simmons College, 19-0, Wednesday evening at Celentano Field.

Simmons controlled the opening half holding a 13-goal lead entering the second. Junior Morgan Shura (Wallingford, Conn.) recorded the Falcons lone shot attempt of the game at the 30th minute as Simmons keeper made the save in goal.

The Sharks tacked on six goals in the second to put the game away, 19-0.


  • Simmons outshot the Falcons, 44-1, as well as held a 13-1 advantage in penalty corners.
  • Lily D'Anna and Emily Plummer led the Sharks' attack with a team-high eight shots.
  • D'Anna and Plummer also led the visitors in goals with five a piece. 
  • Shura recorded the Falcons only shot on goal.
  • Falcons' keeper Kasey Herrera (Stratford, Conn.) had a busy night in goal tallying a season-high 16 saves.
