Paxton, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College field hockey team fell on the road to Anna Maria College, 12-0, in non-conference action Saturday morning at AMCAT Field.

Anna Maria started off regulation hot, scoring three goals in the first four minutes of the game to take the early lead, 3-0. The AMCATS would go on to score nine more goals to finish up the first half with a 10-0 lead.

The Falcons would get multiple shots off in the second half; however they were unable to pass AMCATS keeper Cassandra Micklesavage. Anna Maria didn't stop in the second half as they would add on two more insurance goals to put the game away.


  • Anna Maria outshot the Falcons by an 18-5 edge as well as posted the advantage in penalty corners, 8-3.
  • Freshean Janazha Davis (Bridgeport, Conn.) and Madison Neilander (Wallingford, Conn.) led the Falcons' attack with two shots while Neilander had two shots on goal.
  • Junior Morgan Shura (Wallingford, Conn.) added a shot as well.
  • Brittney Cherry and Niamh Cote recorded a team-high two goals for the AMCATS.

The field hockey team returns home on Thursday, September 27th as the Falcons hosts Regis (Mass.) in a non-conference clash at 5 pm.
