2011-12: Was named the Albertus Magnus Department of Athletics' Male Athlete of the Year... was named the program's first-ever men's basketball All-American by earning NABC (3rd Team) and D3hoops.com (2nd Team) honors... was tagged as the GNAC Player of the Year as well as Defensive Player of the Year....earned NABC All-District honors as well as D3hoops.com All-Northeast Region honors... became the all-time leading rebounder in GNAC history... became the all-time leader in points scored and rebounds in Albertus men’s basketball history as well... was named to the GNAC All-Conference First Team as well as the GNAC All-Tournament Team... named the GNAC tournament Most Valuable Player... finished the year with a team-best 727 points along with a 24.2 ppg average... shot 55.1-percent from the field and 67-percent from the charity stripe... pulled down a team-best 9.7 rebounds per game... recorded 291 total rebounds, including 193 on the defensive end... scored a career-high 52 points at Lasell College (Feb. 11)... tallied five games with 35 or more points... recorded a season-high 20 rebounds at Johnson & Wales (R.I.) on Feb. 14... named the GNAC Player of the Week four times, including three straight weeks from Feb. 14-Feb.27... was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll five times... named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week four times... named the ECAC DIII New England Player of the Week three times as well... recorded 14 double-doubles on the year... finished his career with 2,316 points and 1,192 rebounds.
2010-11: Named to the 2011 GNAC All Conference First Team…named to D3Hoops.com second team all-region…ranked 20th in nation with 21.5 points per game…ranked 18th in nation with 11.1 rebounds per game…ranked fourth in nation with 21 double doubles….lead the Falcons with 603 total points and 312 rebounds….scored a season-high 36 points at Western Connecticut (1/3/11)… grabbed a season-high 17 rebounds against Mount Saint Vincent (12/8/10)…played in 860 minutes in 28 of the Falcons 29 games…had a 50.5 percentage in field goals….had 40 steals and lead the team with 37 blocks.
High School: Played at Career High School in New Haven, Conn…. served as a team captain during his senior year.
Personal: Son of Terri and Raymond Askew….majoring in Business Administration… younger brother Aaron is also a member of the Albertus Magnus basketball team.
