New Haven, Conn. – Former Albertus Magnus College men's basketball player Jaqhawn Walters (Hartford, Conn.), a two-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Year, has signed a professional contract with Club Gimnasia & Esgrima in Argentina.

Walters, who finished his career with 1,821 points and 1,167 rebounds, was a three-time All-Conference honoree and finished his senior year first among GNAC leaders in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 26.5 points and 15.0 boards per game.

Throughout his tenure, he was a two-time All-American and All-Region selection, was named to the NABC Division III All-District First Team and landed on the Bevo Francis Top 25 Watch List. Walters was also selected to the West Roster for the 2018 NABC Reese's Division III College All-Star Team.

Earlier this summer, Walters also took part in the annual ESPN Basketball Tournament (5-on-5). Teams were comprised of a mix of players, from former NBA players to those who never played past high school.
