New Haven, Conn. – Following a break from competition this past week, the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball remains in the Top-25 Poll, taking the 18th ranking heading into this week's action, as announced Monday evening. The Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors, and media members from across the country, and is published weekly.

The Falcons, who cracked last week's poll in the 20th spot, enter this week's games with an 11-1 overall record and an 11-game win streak. Albertus last played on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 4-5, picking up impressive victories over both York (Pa.) College (76-73) and the Coast Guard Academy (103-95) at the York (Pa.) College Spartan Classic.

Today's ranking is the highest for the Falcons since they were ranked sixth during the 2014-15 season. Albertus went 28-2 that season and received first-place votes in the polls. The Falcons have been ranked or received votes in the Top-25 multiple times since 2010. Other rankings included #16 in 2012 and #12 in 2014. The Falcons additionally received Top-25 recognition in each the 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2017 seasons. Albertus was also ranked #5 in the Nation by Sporting News Magazine in 2014.

In addition to owning one of the best win percentages in the country, Albertus sits in the top-10 of six statistical categories. Entering Monday, the Falcons rank third in all of Division III in offensive rebounds per game (16.8), fifth in steals per game (12.6), seventh in both scoring offense (92.5 ppg) and turnovers forced per game (21.4), ninth in scoring margin (17.3) and 10th in total steals (151).

The Falcons have won seven Great Northeast Athletics Conference (GNAC) Championships and made seven NCAA Tournament appearances in the last 10 years. Albertus has won five NCAA tournament games and advanced to the Sweet 16 in 2014.

The Albertus Magnus men's basketball team is set for a road top-25 showdown against #5 Middlebury College in its next competition on Tuesday, Jan. 14. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. in Middlebury, Vt.
