Warwick, R.I. - In its fourth appearance at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC)Championship, the Albertus Magnus College men's golf team finished ninth overall after recording a team score of 749. The two-day event was hosted by Rhode Island College at the Valley Country Club.

Johnson & Wales maintained its day one 11-stroke lead and built on it, carding a collective 601 to secure the conference crown. Tournament host and favorite RIC finished second thanks to a 620 with UMass Dartmouth and Saint Joseph's (Maine) each putting together scores of 621 to tie for third. Southern Maine's 626 was good for fifth and rounded out the top five.
Zach Schatz (East Haven, Conn.) led Albertus Magnus with the senior shooting a 94 on day one and 91 on the second day of competition to finish 38th with a 185.
Senior Tom Crocco (Kings Park, N.Y.), freshman Quinn Oliver (Milford, Conn.), junior Elijah Thomas (New Haven, Conn.) and senior Brennan Moore (Meriden, Conn.) all finished inside the top 50 for the Falcons. The quartet aslso were all separeted by six points to take a spot for 40 to 44
Two spots behind Schatz was Crocco with a 187. Crocco bounced back after a first round of 95 as the senior put a 92 on the second day to tie 40th overall.
Oliver (189) recorded an impressive showing on day one with a team-low of 90 before posting a 99 in day-two, placing him 42nd overall.
Thomas finished just three strokes behind Oliver with a 192. The junior put up scores of 97 and 95, respectively, good for a 43rd place finish.
Moore rounded out the Falcons on the course. The senior's scores of 100 and 95 were good for 44th overall.
