A six-run sixth inning lifted the Emmanuel Saints to a 10-5 win over the Albertus Magnus softball team in GNAC action on Friday afternoon.
The Saints scored 10 runs on 12 hits en route to their sixth victory of the season.
Emmanuel took a 1-0 lead in the top half of the first before Albertus tied the game at one as Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, Conn.) scored on an infield error.
Emmanuel scored its second run in the fourth but Albertus again answered with a run of its own as Rebecca Slivinsky (Plainville, Conn.) recorded a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the frame to tie the game.
Albertus took a 5-4 lead after five innings thanks to Melissa Manning's (Milford, Conn.) third home run of the season before Emmanuel tallied its six-run frame to take a 10-5 advantage.
The Falcon loss dropped starting pitcher Danielle Thuerling's (Wallingford, Conn.) record on the year to 9-13 as she threw seven innings and allowed five earned runs and 12 hits.
Manning finished the game 2-for-4, while Figueroa went 2-for-3 with two runs scored to lead the Falcons.
