The Albertus Magnus softball team scored five runs in the fourth inning en route to a 6-2 victory over Mount Ida to complete its double-header sweep on Wednesday. With the win, the Falcons improve to 6-8 on the year and 2-4 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.
Led by four hits in the frame, including a bases clearing triple by Melissa Manning (Milford, Conn.), the Falcons scored five runs in the fourth to take a 5-0 lead.
Mount Ida (3-6, 0-2 GNAC) tallied its two runs on a home run by Kristen Guerrero in the top of the sixth inning. Her homer cut the Falcons' lead to 5-2 before Albertus added a run in the bottom of the frame. The Falcons added their sixth and final run thanks to a Mount Ida error.

The Mustangs were led by Guerrero with two hits and two RBI.
