New Haven, CT- On Tuesday night, The Lady Falcons won their sixth straight contest in exciting fashion 62-59. The Lady Falcons started the game on a 15-0 run and were in control midway through the first half. Connecticut College responded with a 10-0 run and battled the Falcons the rest of the first half trailing 34-28 at halftime. The game was back and forth until the final possession, with Connecticut College missing a three-pointer to tie the game as the buzzer sounded. Albertus received strong play from junior center Kendrae Walker (New Haven, CT) and her 14 points and eight rebounds. Freshman Shanilya Bush (New Haven, CT) added a team high 17 points while senior forward Kendra Dowen (Montpelier, VT) chipped in 15 points and six rebounds. Connecticut College was led by sophomore forward Kim Horne (Newport, NH) who had a game high 18 points. Albertus improves to 8-9, 3-1 GNAC while Connecticut College drops to 8-10, 0-4 NESCAC. The Lady Falcons look to make it seven straight victories when they play host to GNAC opponent Johnson and Wales University on Thursday night.
