New Haven, CT - In New Haven, CT on Thursday night the Albertus Magnus College Women's Basketball Team lost a close hard-fought contest late in the second half 66-60. The Lady Falcons entered the game with six straight wins only to see their winning streak snapped late in the second half. The Lady Falcons trailed 43-35 at the half but responded with a 9-0 run with 13:40 to go in the second half taking the 47-46 lead. The game was back and forth the rest of the game as Johnson and Wales was up 63-60 with 1:42 remaining. The Lady Falcons failed to convert the rest of the way, eventually falling 66-60. Albertus was lead by junior center Kendrae Walker (New Haven, CT) and her game high 20 points, 12 rebounds, and five steals. Johnson and Wales was lead by freshman guard Allyson Dowen (Burlington, VT) and her team high 17 points. Albertus drops to 8-10, 4-2 GNAC while Johnson and Wales improves to 9-9, 4-1 GNAC. The Lady Falcons had their six game winning streak snapped but will be back in action on Saturday as they host St. Joe's (ME) at 1:00 pm.
