Falcons Upended By New England College 83-70

New Haven, CT - The Albertus Magnus College Women's Basketball team was defeated by visiting New England College 83-70 on Thursday night.  The Falcons couldn't overcome their struggles from behind the three point line shooting just 4-17 for the game including 2-10 in the second half.

Albertus trailed just 39-36 at the break.  New England College used an 11-2 run at the 9:59 mark to pull away 70-60 with 6:06 remaining.

The Falcons received a career night from freshman guard Lindsay Karle (Wallingford, CT/Lyman Hall) who scored 23 points on 9-16 shooting including 4-9 from beyond the three point land.  Senior forward Bianca Brown (West Haven, CT/Career) added 15 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks.

New England College was led by junior forward Rachel Williams and her game high 34 points and game high 13 rebounds.  Sophomore guard Kate Levy (Woods Hole, MA/UMass-Boston) added 18 points and seven rebounds.

Albertus drops to 3-3, 0-0 GNAC while New England College improves to 4-4, 0-0 CCC.

The Falcons host St. Joe's (LI) at 7:00 pm on Monday.
