Falcons Cruise to 85-62 Win Over St. Joseph's College (LI)

New Haven, CT - Senior forward Bianca Brown (West Haven, CT/Career) had a game high 23 points,13 rebounds, three blocks, and three steals as the Albertus Magnus College Women's Basketball team overwhelmed visiting non-conference opponent St. Joseph's College of Long Island on Monday night.

The Falcons took control of the game from the opening tip leading the majority of the contest by double figures.  Four of the five starters scored in double digits for the Falcons.  Freshman guard Lindsay Karle (Wallingford, CT/Lyman Hall) scored 17points, freshman guard Lianna Carrero (Hamden, CT/Hamden) added 18 points, and sophomore guard Shanilya Bush (New Haven, CT/Wilbur Cross) chipped in 11 points.

The Falcons emptied their bench with all players playing atleast nine minutes in the contest.

St. Joseph's College was led by junior guard Nicole Redding (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West) and sophomore center Amanda Bender (East Northport, NY/Northport) who each scored 13 points.

Albertus improves to 4-4, 0-0 GNAC while St. Joe's Long Island drops to 1-5, 0-1 SKYLINE on the season.

The Falcons finished the first half of their schedule and resume play on Thursday January 6 when they host non-conference opponent Anna Maria College at 7:00 pm.
