Unfortunately for the Falcons, it would be the closest they would get for the remainder of the half as the Saints went on a 13-0 run to put Emmanuel out in front 29-8.
A pair of free throws gave Emmanuel its largest lead of the half at 40-14 with less than two minutes left in the action before the Falcons closed the half strong going on a 10-0 run led by four points from junior guard Lianna Carrero (Hamden, Conn.). At the break, Emmanuel led 40-24.
Two layups from Walker and a pair of free throws from junior guard Nicole Acerra (East Haven, Conn.) cut the Saints lead to 40-30 early in the second half. Emmanuel then put together an 8-0 run to extend the Saints' lead back up to 18.
O'Dwyer scored all of her team-high 15 points in the opening frame to go along with five rebounds for the Saints.
