Tyler Evans (Stamford, Conn.) scored a team-high 17 points off the bench as the Albertus Magnus women's basketball team battled to an 89-40 victory over Yeshiva University on Tuesday night.
With the win, the Falcons improve to 2-3 on the year, while Yeshiva falls to 0-4.
Evans shots 7-of-10 from the floor, while adding three assists in a late-night contest for the Falcons.
Kelsey Pendagast (Shelton, Conn.) added nine rebounds and eight points, while Chelsea Sherrod (Bridgeport, Conn.) pulled down nine boards in 20 minutes of play. Jocelyn Burgos (New Haven, Conn.) came off the bench to add 10 points on 50% shooting.
Yeshiva's Julia Owen scored a game-high 22 points, while Simee Rosner tallied 12 boards.
Albertus is now 2-0 all-time against the Maccabees after a 107-42 victory over Yeshiva in 2012. The 107 points scored against Yeshiva marks the most points scored for the Falcons in program history.
The Falcons out rebounded Yeshiva 59-42, while shooting 49.3% (36-73) from the floor. Yeshiva shot just 23.6% (17-72).
Albertus returns to action on Monday, Dec. 1 with a 7:00 p.m. contest at Connecticut College.
