New Haven, Conn. - Behind three double-digit performances, including a team-high 27 points from Shyla Osmond (New Haven, Conn.), as well as a double-double from senior Rah Rah Thompson (Bridgeport, Conn.), the Albertus Magnus College women’s basketball team captured its first victory of the 2019-20 season with a 71-67 win over Springfield College in non-conference play on Wednesday evening at “The Nest”.
Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State College handed the Albertus Magnus College women’s basketball team its second loss of the season as the Falcons slipped to the Rams, 72-63, Thursday evening in non-conference play.
Albertus started the game by trailing 18-10 after the first quarter. The Gators built an early lead by outshooting the Falcons, as Sage went 8-for-18 (44.4%) from the field, while Albertus shot 4-for-13 (30.8%). Freshman forward Beatriz Honorio (Bridgeport, Conn.) led the way for the Falcons in the frame, tallying four points and four rebounds.
