A NEW YEAR
The Albertus Magnus College women's tennis team kicks off the 2017 season with a non-conference matchup at Lehman College on Saturday afternoon.

A QUICK LOOK BACK AT LAST YEAR

  • The Falcons ended the fall with a 5-7 overall record and were the No. 5 seed in the GNAC Tournament after posting a 2-4 record in league play.
  • The team saw its season come to an end with a 5-0 loss against fourth-seeded St. Joseph's (Conn.) in the first round of the GNAC Tournament.
  • The Falcons made their second straight appearance in the GNAC Tournament and third overall with their first trip coming in 2013. 
  • Following the year, junior Kelsea Wildman (Hamden, Conn.) was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
  • Wildman had another quality season for the team, competing both at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and No. 4 singles.

ALL-TIME VS. LEHMAN
This will be the first time the two teams will be competing.

THIS YEAR NOTES

  • The Falcons welcome two newcomers to the club in 2017.
  • Head Coach Bob Migliorini enters the season with an overall record of 24-41.
  • Albertus Magnus returns five players from last year's squad.
  • Senior Kelsea Wildman was named captain for the 2017 season.
  • Head Coach Bob Migliorini welcomes a new assistant coach and alum Daniel Constantinidi.

The Albertus Magnus College women's tennis team was picked to finish sixth in the 2017 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll.

UP NEXT
The Falcons return to action on Sunday September 11th against Sarah Lawrence College.
