In its first match against Wesleyan since 2005, the Albertus Magnus women's volleyball team fell to the Cardinals 3-0 (25-7, 25-10, 25-15) in non-conference action on Tuesday night.
With the loss, the Falcons fall to 0-4 on the year, while Wesleyan improves to 2-3.
After falling 25-7 in the opening set, Albertus led 7-5 in the second before Wesleyan went on a run to take the eventual 25-10 set victory.
The third set of the night was well fought as the Falcons battled to a 10-10 tie before the Cardinals took the lead for good, eventually winning 25-15.
Krista LaBissioneire (Meriden, Conn.) added one service ace along with seven digs for the Falcons on the night.
Wesleyan was led by Kim Farris with 13 kills and three blocks. Laura Yim had 24 assists for the Cardinals as well.
Albertus returns to the court on Thursday, Sept. 15 as the Falcons travel to Bay Path College for their fifth straight road match to start the 2011 season.
